Interested in refereeing?

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you all are doing well and had a good hockey season. It certainly was a challenging year but we are starting to move in the right direction!

You are all invited to join us for our first Officiating Recruitment Session on April 20th. It is being held at the Amherst Stadium from 6:15-8:30. There will be an information session upstairs from 6:15-7:00 and on ice session from 7:30-8:30. In the past, we have always fielded questions on how to become an official, what does it cost, what do I need for gear, what do officials get paid etc. This is a great opportunity to join us and see what it is all about. I am excited that CCMHA recognizes that we need to grow our team of officials and can provide everyone an opportunity to come out and try. 

 

Officiating can create a completely different path in hockey for some people, or it can be a way to earn a few extra dollars. You can learn a lot about yourself, and it is a great way to stay connected through the sport.  I would love to see as many people as possible on the 20th. I will be able to answer any questions you may have. It should be a fun night.

Gear Requirements:
Skates, Helmet, Whistle (if possible), track suit or sweat suit etc.
