Good Morning CCMHA Members!
I hope everyone has been checking our GOALLINE website as we are updating the information for the upcoming season on a continual basis. For those of you who are new to the association, our website, http://ccmha.goalline.ca/ is the best place to find everything CCMHA! Whether it’s a question regarding your team’s schedule, questions about registration and fundraising, or even the by-laws and policies, it can be found on this site among the black tabs on the left hand side of the screen.
There are a couple of important things I would like to bring to everyone’s attention as we move forward into the 2014-15 hockey season:
Registration

It’s finally open! If you are a returning member, your access code will be emailed to you at the beginning of the process, if you don’t remember it. If, by chance, you have changed your email address in the last 6 months, please contact Amy Menzies, Registrar (contact email under EXECUTIVE tab). It is important to remember that when you are registering a returning player to verify your contact and information. This is how you receive important emails and announcements throughout the year from CCMHA.
Registration Payment
Registration costs are the same as last year, $195.00 for IP’s (TIMBITS) and $350 for every other division. This year’s deadline is Oct 20th for final payment. In order to participate in the Welcome Back! Weekend and the provincial selection process (‘tryouts’), you must at pay a deposit (for example, $50 for those applying for assistance via Jumpstart or Kids Sport and a minimum $150 for those not applying for financial assistance), plus the $100 fundraising commitment. Our Registrar has arranged for 2 walk-ins for your convenience at the Welcome Back! Weekend. I encourage everyone to register their players on the website prior to the walk-ins – knowing our registration numbers prior, means we can plan accordingly for the 2014-15 season regarding division numbers, etc.
Fundraising
What was old is new again…….CCMHA has a wonderful annual fundraising campaign, the NHL Dream Tickets. This endeavor has the potential to guarantee our low registration rates for years to come. This year CCMHA is issuing the tickets to each player at the Welcome Back! Weekend. As you check in, according to the schedule in the brochure and on the website, you will be required to pay $100 dollars in exchange for 10 NHL Dream Tickets. Don’t panic. They are an easy sell and you can recuperate your $100 investment by selling them to friends and family or put your own name on them all! There will be drop off boxes for the sold tickets in each of our 3 arenas that will be emptied weekly. Good Luck Everyone!
Welcome Back! Weekend
The Welcome Back Weekend is on September 13-14, 2014 and will be a chance for ALL players to get on the ice before our selection process begins on September 20-21, 2014. You must either be registered online or via the walk-in registration that coincides with this endeavor, for insurance and payment purposes. Qualified coaches will be on the ice to run drills and get the players ready for the upcoming season. We look forward to seeing all players come out to these sessions and get the 2014-15 season off to a great start. Please see the website under Weekly Schedule for the up to date schedule.
Provincial Teams
Provincial selection process/tryouts will be held from September 20th and run through to October 5th. The cost of the tryout is $5 per player, per tryout – a total of $10 to be paid each Saturday of the tryout weekend(s). All players MUST be registered and registration payment arranged prior to stepping onto the ice. Please check the website under Weekly Schedule for the complete provincial selection schedule.
